1. I don’t believe that Diann had a real motivation besides it was something she always wanted to do. Whenever the oppourtunity presented itself she took the chance because after her first excursion there she realized her real love for gorillas.

2. Diann came out of the trees near the gorillas in hope to gain their trust. She wanted to be able to be up close and personal with the gorillas and for them to act naturally. After coming out of the trees she started acting like a gorilla thinking it would show a sign of companionship. After awhile she finally gained their trust and was able to experience really living with the gorillas.

Living in West Virginia, we live in a terrestrail biome. In this biome we are surrounded in lives many factors such as biotic and abiotic. These factors are what make up our biome as a whole. Examples of biotic factors are all organisms that are living. Organisms ranging from plants and insects to humans. Examples of aboitic factors are those that are non-living. Things such as rocks, streams, and soil. Not only are things seen to the naked eye abiotic factors. Others things such as wind, temperature, and the changing of seasons.

There are many contributing factors to why the denisty of the stomata has decreased over the last two hunderd years. I believe the enviroment plays a big role in this. Over these last two hunderd years our environments condition has plummeted. Global Warming is taking over and causes our whole earth to warth. Since the earth is warming plants are becoming hotter and if they don’t receive all the water that they need they will start to wilt, which is what I think is starting to happen. As the plany wilts it doesn’t have any excess water to lose so the denisty of the leaf is now decreasing so it can’t lose any water that it can’t afford to.

1. Paper- To write on.

2. Shampoo- To wash my hair.

3.  Clothes made from cotton- To wear.

4. Toothpaste- To clean my teeth.

5. Vitamins- To keep my body healthy.

6. Soap- To wash my body.

7. Chairs- To sit in.

8. Desks- A hard surface to write on.

9. Ethynol- To make gasoline.

10. Pencils- To write with.

Over the past century I believe our use of plants and plant products have increased. I believe this is true because we are continously trying to improve the enviroment and we can do this by using plants and plant products. I also believe that it will continue to increase because over time we will learn more ways to use plants and plant products in order to decrease the usage of harmful products.

The issue between is embryonic research ethical or not is an ongoing debate in which I believe will never be settled. Some people who refer to themselves as “pro-lifers” are against embryonic research. They believe that when the ovum and spermatozoon go through fertilization, it then becomes human. Since they believe that it is human they believe it’s killing a human when the embryo is killed to extract the stem cells. Others, however, disagree against this theory. It is their theory that even though the embryo has the potential of a human it isn’t an actual human. The only thing human about the embryo is the cells contained within it. They don’t contain any other human properties other than that. I believe that it is ethical because I agree that it isn’t a human because it doesn’t have any human properties other than the cells. The embryos can help save actual human lives and I think that is more important than the “lives” of cells.

I would not like to be cloned. If I was cloned and I died, my clone would still be alive with my genes. Therefore I would not have any control over what they done with my genes. The most special thing about me are my genes, they are the one thing that I have that no one else does. Even though everyone else would like to have the chance to be Hollie Dilley, the world can only handle one of us.

Mammals are characterized as eukaryotics. Eukaryotics have a much more complex genome than prokaryotics because they are in a more complex organisms. Prokaryotics are typically bacteria and organisms that don’t need a lot of life. They are simple organisms that have simple genomes. Eukaryotics however are typically mammals who have more complex genomes and they have more complex ways of life. Prokaryotics for example reproduce very quickly and easily, eukaryotics reproduce in a slower and more involved way. Thus, since eukaryotic cells are more involved and complex it is only natural that they would be bigger.

Are viruses living or lifeless is a question without a definite answer. They have components of both the living and the lifeless. Viruses have many contributes that make them seem like they are living. These facts are that is is durable and it is composed of complex molecules. Besides that they also contain left handed animo acids . They are able to take ocer the management of the hosts and convert it to suit their own needs.  Depending on the conditions they can also show motion, responsiveness, and variation.

Even though all of those traits would make it seem as though they are living, there are also traits that portray them as nonliving. One of these traits is the fact that they do not have cells or a full protoplasm. Without a host to help them, they also can not reproduce. And unless they are infection a host organism they have no metabolism. So there is no definite anwser to, are cells living or lifeless.

DNA helps forensic scientists discover essential information for solving a case. For example, if someone murdered someone else and there was blood on the victim that didn’t belong to the victim and  there were two suspects, DNA could help us figure out which suspect is the murderer or if either one of them actually is. DNA is the total make-up of someones genes so taking the blood and testing the DNA would give them the proof that they need to prove who the actual killer was.

1. In prokaryotic cells the process is short. This is because prokaryotics have no nucleus. In this process DNA isn’t sepraated from the ribosomes. In eukaryotic cells the process takes longer. The DNA is separted from the nucleus. In this process the nucleus travels out of the nucleus to the ribosomes, then translation occurs.

2. DNA and RNA are more similar in molecular structure, rather than pyshical structure.  Both DNA and RNA are made of nucleic acid and nucleiotides (sugar, phosphate, and a nitrogen base). Even though they are both made out of sugar the sugars are different. DNA is made up of deoxyribose sugar , while RNA is made up of ribose sugar. They have three similar bases; adenine, guanine, and cytosine, however they differ in one of the bases. While DNA has thymine, RNA contains uracil in it’s place. In it’s pyshical structure it is different. While DNA is a double helix of two strands linked by a hydrogen bond, RNA is single spiraled strand. Another difference is DNA can only take one form, however RNA can take two. RNA can be either messenger RNA or transfer RNA.
